    Doppler speed is required to count officially on GPS Speedsurfing
    2017 Sessions: Speed/Slalom 11, B&J/Wave 06, SUP/WindSUP 00
    2016 Sessions: Speed/Slalom 20, B&J/Wave 23, SUP/WindSUP 03
    2015 Sessions: Speed/Slalom 20, B&J/Wave 10, SUP/WindSUP 07

    It does really depend what you want to do, if you want to log and compete you need a GT31 and they do come up on ebay for 80 every now and then, a new one, card and arm band was about 130.

    You can use the Garmin if you just want your own data, you could email Manfred who runs GPS Results software what he would reccomend as he is the guy who makes the data into a pack format for use on GPS Speedsurfing.com and he is very helpful.

    .......or hang fire a while because it has become increasingly difficult to get hold of the GT-31 for quite a few months now and I understood there was work ongoing by the Speedsailing association to find a replacement product. It is not a situation they can allow to continue for much longer I would have thought.

    there is at least one that I know of plus an animal watch off the beach at Hamworthy as well!

    Good grief Mark. I knew there were a fair few down there, but I never imagined the attrition rate was that high. Do most of your speedfellows lose quite so many?
