This is an illustration of the Airush kite foil and board, which they almost released early this year, but have dropped the release back to August.

Airush is the kite equivalent of Starboard for windsurfing. Once the kite foil is working, it would be easy to produce a windsurf version.

I noticed 24-7 Boardsports are going to get the Horue windsurf foil in to see how it goes.

According to this, he is going to ride in 11 knots with a 4.7m sail, and in the video he is riding with the 4.7m sail (white North sail) and it may be the same session where he was saying the wind was 11 knots.

It does seem that the development of foils has taken them to the level where there may be some point to using one other than it's a different experience.
Well i watched it , totally waste of time ,money ,effort ,? not windsurfing more moth sailing ?. If you have unlimited money ? deep water launching area ? and are bored with life ? this is the board for you . lol

4000 euro of which the foil is 2500 euro.

Its an old design from 2010.

The Horue windsurf lightwind foil costs 1650 euro.

It is designed to be used with the box in a normal windsurf position, but they can't guarantee the box will be OK without being reinforced.

The AHD AFS-1 and the AHD Sealion Wings are the only windsurf boards designed for a foil and they have their own mounting box.

I guess that most of the kite foils that fit a deep tuttle box could be used if a deep tuttle box was fitted just in front of the normal fin box on a windsurf board.
Horue suggest a windsurf board of about 80 cm wide and a 7.5m sail for light wind foiling. Getting a suitable older board and fitting a well reinforced deep tuttle box would probably be the cheapest way into windfoiling.
