I figured he will restart on Thursday because at the moment it is blowing a gale from NW with 2 to 3.5 metres swell travelling SE along that stretch of coast.

So so it's a good opportunity to rest and climatice given that it is the very beginning of the adventure.

Is it not day 3 today? Hardly rest day but then I would not fancy a day spent heading up into a freezing gale. I guess he has to way up his options day by day. Where he can sleep - how much progress he can make, what the wind will do etc.

in undertakings such as this there are no schedules. The schedule is dictated by the elements and your body stamina.

Impressed that such a wild man has such social skills to secure a cabin with added snow, I guess up there one is rubbing noses and constantly applying animal fat to curry favour. I liked his motorbike handle gloves and flailing uphaul an that good board ploughing away.
