    It's alright for these young fit pros but us geriatrics have trouble getting down that far let alone getting up again!

    I tried that once (in strong wind), the wind got under the sail and flicked it towards me with some force, caught the mast but suffered a thumb injury which took a couple of years to fully heal. Never tried it since!

    Fair play, on a sinkier board when you are sinking evenly distributed like he is at the moment the board goes under and the sail is on top, before it too submerges. That's the point to flick the sail up into wind and hey pesto make good your course.
