    I had a very interesting chat with someone today, about the idea of holding a sprint running race inside a moving train.

    How fast could the runners go and how would you time them?


    In the end, we decided that questions posed couldn't always be answered, but that we runners should still appreciate the experience of it.
    Now back in the UK.

    My favourite is the old 'can a jet take off if the runway is a rolling road that matches the jet's speed in reverse'. It's amazing how many people have a total mental block on that one; even people who work in aerospace.

    Maybe we should measure board speed using airspeed rather than groundspeed!!!
