    Yep the meteo group forecasts are very poor stopped watching it on tv as it is even more dumbed down than before.

    Last year the BBC forecast website was very good, & accurate for lightish winds over here. However they started that rubbish thing of going from average wind, top gust strength as the wind got strong. So the forecast would go- 19 20 21 44!

    "Brisk" is another meaningless word for wind strength!

    Now looking at met office site, but it takes a while to get used to the different forecasts.

    Would it be worth making the trip down from Oxford to Poole tomorrow? Was hoping to sail in the harbour but the forecast has dropped a bit.

    Looking at the weekend charts from the Met Office, I'd say that Sunday has more chance of wind (albeit E/SE) than Saturday.

    After the cold front goes through on Saturday morning the isobars widen fast for Saturday afternoon.

    Looks like they have a bit of wind in the far west today.

    It's quite southerly there but goes more eagerly for tomorrow (Sunday).


    I also see there is a 5m swell forecast for next Thursday, at 14second wave period.
    Now back in the UK.
