    Skateboard to help windsurfing

Know anything about using skateboards to help develop carving skills to help wave windsurfing?

Not so much carving skills as sail handling. Windsurfing a skateboard really helps you to develop an exact sail handling since the apparent wind will be so much larger comparatively speaking and since you can't move your feet a whole lot.

Used to do it alot. Falling hurts. Get a long board and a single bolt base.

And typically your smallest sail will be the best even in light winds. Something like a 3.5 will normally do.

Loads of us used to do this a lot, on a school playground at night (Shoebury).
Someone turned up on a moped, and we did speed trials, 20mph is easily possible.
Its brilliant for learning duck gybes, front to sail, switch stance and heli tacks.
    We used 5m sails typically.
And very hard wheels help at lot.
Use the most disposable boom you can acquire, because the grip will be shredded quickly.
    Have fun!

I would include wrist supports as that is the most common injury in old farts getting back into it
Its a really painful and long injury to recover from
