    OT: Friendliess of sports

When I encounter people doing sports I notice how friendliness varies considerably. What is your experience:

Wind and kitesurfers - mostly friendly
    Hikers - always
    ramblers - always
    Mountain bikders - always
road cyclists - hardly ever, look and behave as if the purpose is to punish oneself and be miserable
    hand gliders - mostly
    kyakers- always
Surfers - stand offshly friendly with a superior attitude
drone flyers - wierdos (selling mine)
SUPers - always, looking enviously at people doing something more exciting
squash - mostly, bit too earnest
tennis - depends how white your clothes are
    dinghy sailors - always
    keeled yachts - mostly miserable
fishermen (not seen a woman fish) - friendly if you ask them where they cast and avoid.

Surely the conflict arises when participants of one activity encounter other people having fun in their space?

So ramblers don't like mountain bikers, and windsurfers don't like kiters.
Car users seem to hate cyclists and vice versa.
    Now back in the UK.

No, no, no. It' not when conflict arises, just a genral obervation of types of people seem to gravitate to certain sports, or adopt persona when they get there.
Say "Hi" to a mountain biker doesn't matter if I am hiking or biking myself I get a friendly wave or stop for a chat. Say "Hi" to a road biker and the only ackowledgement get is a scowl even when i am riding myslef.

    All generalizations.
How are ramblers who walk slow, hikers who walk long and drone operators who move their fingers qualify as sport participants ?

I don’t mind kites or anyone using the water as light no as they are not hassling anyone else. Too many generalisations going on here.
