I've been struggling with shove-its -- my attempts usually end up in a donkey kick. I am trying them in choppy conditions -- side and cross-on shore. I know that I have to get the sail parallel to the water but am having trouble getting my body to do it. Not sure if I have to pull the sail back more when trying to lay it flat or just try falling flat on the sail.

Any suggestions, greatly appreciated.
